About Bettcher

Since its founding in 1944, Bettcher has been committed to delivering innovative solutions that empower butchers and meatpackers to increase their yield and productivity. Our founder, Louis Bettcher, took his dedication to solving customers' problems into the meat processing industry, developed several cost-effective tools that were easy to maintain, increased productivity, and helped his customers get more yield from every cut.

Today, our team continues Louis Bettcher's passion for understanding and solving our customers' challenges worldwide through innovative tools and solutions. Our engineers and sales team continue to harness a deep-seated dedication to providing solutions and adding value for our customers. The result has been industry-leading tools and solutions that empower our customers to get the most out of every trimming, skinning, and breading application without sacrificing quality, yield, and safety.

In 2021, Bettcher was acquired by KKR and became part of a large family of companies, forming Fortifi Food Processing Solutions. The Fortifi family offers every aspect of the advanced technology necessary to set up a process and automate a plant. But its ultimate resource is its ability to understand customers' needs and solve their real problems. Whether that requires tools, machines, or a complete plan, Fortifi is ready.
